Charito est sans conteste l’une des plus belles voix du jazz au Japon. Depuis sa première venue en France en 2007, sa stature internationale ne fait que s’étendre et elle revient régulièrement pour nous présenter ses projets dont le dernier en date est un fabuleux CD intitulé « American Gold Standards » dans lequel elle revisite un répertoire de grands classiques signés Cole Porter, Richard Rogers ou encore Gerschwin. Une soirée exclusive à ne pas manquer !
One of the most prominent jazz vocalists in Japan, Charito has achieved global recognition with her voice, expression, and musical artistry. Her albums “Non Stop to Brazil” (2004) and “Nica„s Dream” (2006) featured acclaimed works with Ivan Lins and the Manhattan Jazz Orchestra, respectively. Her latest album American GOLD Standards - Charito meets Tamir Hendelman, with a stellar, musical dream team of bassist John Clayton, drummer Jeff Hamilton will be released in October 2016.
