Guy MINTUS “Fiddler on the Roof & More”
Guy Mintus – piano, vocal, loop station
Guy Mintus, jeune star montante israélienne, pianiste, compositeur, chanteur revient au Sunset pour un solo plein de surprises. Sa voix, son looper et de magnifiques récits émailleront son jeu brillant au piano. Guy va convier le public à un vrai voyage à la découverte de compositions originales largement inspirées de ses nombreux voyages ainsi que des pièces allant de Chopin à des chansons ladino, des prières juives à la Rhapsodie en bleu de Gershwin. A l’occasion la sortie du film documentaire « Fiddler : A Miracle of Miracles », pour lequel Guy a composé et enregistré une création originale, notre pianiste mettra un accent particulier sur un set spécialement dédié aux chansons de la commédie musicale « Un violon sur le toit ». Sous les doigt de celui qui a été appelé « le scientifique fou » par Arturo O’Farill gagant d’un GRAMMY Award, les points seront bel et bien reliés entre tous les mondes musicaux pour vivre en live la création d’une tapisserie spectaculaire.
Concert en partenariat avec le festival Jazz 'N' Klezmer
Rising star Israeli pianist, vocalist and composer will arrive back to Sunset for a surprising solo evening of music and storytelling which will incorporate his singing voice and a loop station along with the piano. Guy will take his audience on a true journey with original pieces inspired by his travel adventures to surprising interpretations of music ranging from Chopin to Ladino songs, from Jewish prayers to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and beyond. With the release of the new documentary "Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles" for which Mintus composed and recorded music, Mintus will put a special emphasis in the set on piano re-imaginations for selected songs from Fiddler on the Roof. Under the hands of Guy, who has been called a ''mad scientist" by GRAMMY award winner Arturo O'Farrill, the dots will be connected and musical worlds will collide into one spectacular fabric.
