Hommage à Herbie HANCOCK avec Michael CHERET + VandoJam
Michael Cheret – sax ténor ; avec des étudiants du PSPBB et du CMDL
Michael Cheret invite des étudiants du Pôle Supérieur Paris-Boulogne Billancourt et du Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood pour rendre hommage au pianiste et compositeur de jazz américain Herbie Hancock. Il est l'un des musiciens les plus importants et influents de la scène jazz actuelle. Auteur de certains thèmes qui comptent parmi les plus repris du jazz moderne au point de devenir de nouveaux « standards », il est l'un des pionniers de la lutherie électronique et de la fusion du jazz aux courants plus récents de la musique afro-américaine.
Michael Cheret invites students from the Pole Supérieur Paris-Boulogne Billancourt and the Didier Lockwood Music Center to pay tribute to American jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock. He is one of the most important and influential musicians of the current jazz scene. Author of some themes that are among the most resumed of modern jazz to the point of becoming new "standards", he is one of the pioneers of electronic lute-making and the fusion of jazz with the latest currents of African-American music.
