Surdoué de la guitare, joueur de grandes orgues, libre penseur, amateur de philosophie, pur produit des grandes heures du quartier latin… Boulou Ferré, cet inattendu élève de Olivier Messian, en compagnie de son inséparable guitariste de frère Elios, n’en finit pas de rayonner dans le paysage jazz international. Boulou Ferré est issu d’une dynastie d’exception. Fils de Matlo Ferré et neveu de Sarane et de Baro Ferré qui s’illustrèrent aux côtés et en marge de Django Reinhardt. Au-delà du répertoire manouche dont il fut avec Raphael Fays l’artisan du renouveau, Boulou Ferré apporte au jazz la richesse de ses expériences variées et le fruit de ses rencontres incessantes.

Boulou Ferré, this unexpected student of Olivier Messian, with his inseparable brother Elios, guitarist, never stops shining in the international jazz landscape. Boulou Ferré comes from an exceptional dynasty. Son of Matlo Ferré and nephew of Sarane and Baro Ferré, who distinguished themselves alongside and on the sidelines of Django Reinhardt. Beyond the gypsy repertoire he was with Raphael Fays, the craftsman of renewal, Boulou Ferré brings to jazz the richness of his varied experiences and the fruit of his incessant encounters.
