ZOOT Collectif joue BIRD

Le 29 aout 1920, à Kansas City, naissait le saxophoniste Charlie Parker, alias the « Bird ». Une figure révolutionnaire qui changera à jamais l’histoire du jazz en entrainant dans son élan plusieurs générations de musiciens. Un siècle plus tard, les jeunes musiciens du Zoot Collectif, nés de l’autre côté de l’atlantique, et bercés dans leur adolescence par les fulgurances de cet oiseau de feu, lui rendent un vibrant hommage lors d’une soirée exceptionnelle au Sunside le 28 août. Les jeunes musiciens du Zoot Collectif ont su se faire une place sur la scène française ces dernières années avec des projets originaux et enthousiasmants ("Zoot Suite vol.1&2"). En 2019, ils créent avec Natalie Dessay le spectacle « Pannonica », en hommage à la baronne "Pannonica de Koenigswarter", légende méconnue et pourtant édifiante de l’histoire du jazz, chez qui Charlie Parker est décédé le 12 mars 1955...
On August 29, 1920, in Kansas City, saxophonist Charlie Parker, aka the "Bird", was born. A revolutionary figure who will forever change the history of jazz by training several generations of musicians. A century later, the young musicians of the Zoot Collectif, born on the other side of the Atlantic, and lulled in their adolescence by the dazzling fire bird, pay him a vibrant tribute during an exceptional evening at the Sunside August 28. The young musicians of the Zoot Collectif have managed to find a place on the French scene in recent years with original and exciting projects ("Zoot Suite vol.1 & 2"). In 2019, they created with Natalie Dessay the show "Pannonica", in homage to the baroness "Pannonica de Koenigswarter", little-known and yet uplifting legend in the history of jazz, in which Charlie Parker died on March 12, 1955 ...
