Brillant, remarquable, audacieux… En jazz comme en classique, Dan Tepfer est l’un des pianistes actuels les plus imaginatifs ! Rendu célèbre par le duo qu’il formait avec le saxophoniste Lee Konitz, Dan Tepfer excelle dans l’art de l’improvisation et possède un sens inné de la mélodie. Diplômé d’astrophysique, il vit à New York où il côtoie de nombreux talents du jazz, et enchaîne enregistrements et compositions originales. Son album Goldberg Variations / Variations propose en 2011 une approche “jazzifiée” du chef-d’œuvre de Bach. Pour l’occasion, il viendra accompagné avec de special guests comme Leon Parker…Il y a des moments inattendus dans la vie qui vous mettent sur votre chemin des gens extraordinaires et pouvoir collaborer avec Dan en fait partie. A graduate in astrophysics, he lives in New York where he rubs shoulders with many jazz talents, and connects recordings and original compositions.
