Le "Mat Najean Jazz Band" est né en janvier 2019 à Paris. Après avoir monté plusieurs orchestres de swing (Reverent Juke, The Morning Call Jazz Band), joué et arrangé beaucoup de répertoire swing des années 30,40,50, Mathieu Najean souhaite jouer ses propres compositions. Ce groupe a pour vocation d'explorer les différentes époques du jazz avec des morceaux originaux : un rag style Jelly Roll Morton, une fantaisie façon Ellington, un blues à la Basie, un bop à la Bud Powel, un hard bop inspiré des jazz Messenger... Entouré d'excellents musiciens de la scène jazz parisienne (Collectif Paris Swing, Zoot Collectif, Hot Sugar Band...), ce nouveau groupe vous promet une soirée sous le signe du swing et du blues !

The "Mat Najean Jazz Band" was born in January 2019 in Paris. After setting up several swing orchestras (Reverent Juke, The Morning Call Jazz Band), played and arranged a lot of swing repertoire from the 30s, 30s, 50s, Mathieu Najean wants to play his own compositions. This group aims to explore different eras of jazz with original songs : a rag like Jelly Roll Morton, a fantasy like Ellington, a blues like Basie, a bop like Bud Powel, a hard bop inspired by Jazz Messenger... Surrounded by excellent musicians of the Parisian jazz scene (Collective Paris Swing, Zoot Collective, Hot Sugar Band ...), this new band promises you an evening under the sign of swing and blues!
