Ludovic ERNAULT Quartet
Ludovic Ernault – sax alto ; Enzo Carniel - piano ; Florent Nisse - c.basse ; Simon Bernier - batterie
Intense et lyrique dans son jeu, doté d’une sonorité originale à l’alto, il séduit aussi par le caractère de ses compositions, d’une écriture vive et inventive. Après Next Fall, un premier album sorti en 2013, il constitue son quartet qui réunit de très talentueux musiciens parisiens autour d’un nouveau répertoire de compositions originales. Deux albums (Dreamland 2019 et LIVE 2021) sont parus sur le mythique label Fresh Sound New Talent, réputé pour ses qualités de défricheur. On retrouve notamment sur ce même label les premiers disques de Brad Mehldau, Robert Glasper ou encore Ambrose Akinmusire...
Ludovic Ernault is one of the emerging talents of the French jazz scene. Intense and lyrical in his playing, endowed with an original sound on the viola, he also seduces by the character of his compositions, of a lively and inventive writing. His quartet brings together very talented Parisian musicians (Enzo Carniel from the group House of Echo, Florent Nisse from the group Flash Pig and Simon Bernier) Ludovic Ernault will present the music for his new album, LIVE, to be released on the Spanish label Fresh Sound New Talent. , renowned for its pioneering qualities.
