"Depuis de nombreuses années, Alain Jean-Marie parcourt les sentiers qui mènent des Antilles au jazz. Voyageur de la musique, Patrice Caratini poursuit, de son côté, l’exploration des rapports entre écriture et improvisation. En compagnie du percussionniste Roger Raspail, le contrebassiste et le pianiste mettent en regard les langages musicaux nés de l’histoire Euro-Afro-Américaine, opérant des jeux de miroirs entre jazz et héritage africain. Sur les œuvres nées de cette histoire et sur des compositions originales, portés par les improvisations du piano, la pulsation de la contrebasse et les peaux frappées du percussionniste, les trois musiciens reprennent le fil ininterrompu d'une conversation musicale séculaire pour y apporter leur tribut."

For many years, Alain Jean-Marie has traveled the paths that lead from the West Indies to jazz. A traveler of music, Patrice Caratini, for his part, continues to explore the relationship between writing and improvisation. In the company of percussionist Roger Raspail, the double bassist and pianist compare the musical languages born from Euro-African-American history, playing mirrors between jazz and African heritage. On the works born from this story and on original compositions, carried by the improvisations of the piano, the pulsation of the double bass and the struck skins of the percussionist, the three musicians take up the uninterrupted thread of a secular musical conversation to bring their tribute. .
