Bopfish c'est la rencontre du compositeur / pianiste Charly Fez et de la chanteuse de Jazz Janina.  Entre tradition et innovation, leurs fortes influences Jazz ainsi que leur goût prononcé pour la Soul et la funk les ont amené à créer un univers unique. Ils s’efforcent alors d’allier la richesse harmonique du jazz à des rythmes plus modernes. Les collaborations entre chanteuses et compositeurs comme Kimiko Kasai avec Herbie Hancock ou Gretchen Parlato avec Robert Glasper marquent les couleurs et l’esthétique du groupe.

Bopfish is the encounter of the pianist / composer Charly Fez with Janina. Between tradition and innovation, the strong Jazz / Swing influences as well as their taste for Soul, pop and funk have led Bopfish to create a unique universe, in which they strive to combine the harmonic richness of jazz with more modern rhythms. Collaborations between singers and composers like Kimiko Kasai with Herbie Hancock or Gretchen Parlato with Robert Glasper mark and influence the colors and aesthetics of the group.
