Irene AMATA "Canzoni in jazz"

Le premier amour musical d'Irene est le piano, et c'est au clavier qu'elle commence à composer en 2017 des morceaux qui ne se conforment ni à un genre musical, ni aux recettes commerciales. Naissent alors des chansons qui définissent un univers sonore essentiel, aux atmosphères mystérieuses, souvent modales, dans lequel Irene se révèle par ses textes intimes et des mélodies envoûtantes. Après des années de scène, c'est un nouveau départ pour Irene : chanter ses propres compositions la pousse à renouveler son jeu vocal et son interprétation dans sa langue maternelle, l'italien. Pour la préparation de son premier opus comme auteure, elle choisit de décliner ses chansons dans des arrangements jazz, entourée de musiciens de haute volée reconnus sur la scène jazz française, qui réussissent l'exercice délicat d'embrasser cet univers sonore essentiel, et de le faire résonner aussi intensément que possible.

Irene's first love is piano, and it is by playing this instrument that in 2017 she started to compose music that does not comply either with a specific genre or with a commercial formula. The songs that derive from this creative process define an essentialist and pure sound, mysterious atmospheres and often modal harmonies in which Irene reveals herself through her intimist texts and captivating melodies. After many years on stage, it is a fresh start for Irene: singing her own compositions requires her renewing her vocal and interpretation skills, in her mother tongue: Italian. To prepare her first opus as an author, she chooses to project her songs into jazz arrangements, surrounded by high flying jazz musicians, acknowledged on the jazz french stage, who succeed in embracing Irene's musical universe, and in bringing its expression to a wider and louder form.
