Du nom d’un café très célèbre de La Nouvelle Orléans, connu pour ses délicieux beignets, The Morning Call Jazz Band puise son inspiration chez les compositeurs et des musiciens tels que Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, The Mills Brothers, Sydney Bechet... Instrumentistes talentueux, ils nous régalent de leurs voix lorsqu’ils interprètent en chœur, dans le style Barbershop, leurs arrangements du répertoire des Mills Brothers. Ils composent et chantent également leurs propres chansons.
