Sauvage, puissant, organique, autant d'adjectifs pour décrire le projet de reprises de chansons de Leonard Cohen par la chanteuse franco-estonienne Lembe Lokk. Entourée par deux fantastiques musiciens, que l'on voit sur les scènes jazz, pop et musique traditionnelle (basse et clarinette), Lembe Lokk revisite le répertoire de Leonard Cohen en mettant ses chansons presque à nu, avec un sens très pur du son, de l'émotion a vif. Un disque brut, qui oscille entre folk, jazz et pop, et rend ces standards plus vivants que jamais.

Wild, strong, free, these are words we could use to describe this project of Leonard Cohen's remakes, led by Lembe Lokk, a French-Estonian singer. Just two fantastic musicians (bass and clarinet), often seen in French pop and jazz scene, are playing along with her to make brand new versions of theses songs, that we can hear almost pure. A raw album, full of folk, jazz and pop influences, that makes these standards more alive than ever.
