Enfant du jazz, bercé aux mélodies du maître Django, très jeune, Steeve fera chanter sa guitare sur les grands standards de swing manouche. Dans le même temps, il jouera avec ses voisins, les musiciens Gitans de Perpignan. Il sera complètement imprégné des sons latins de la cité catalane. Aujourd’hui, son jazz est une habile combinaison de tous ces ingrédients. Une saveur jazz manouche et des épices latines aux accents méditerranéens donnent une couleur unique à la musique proposée par Steeve Laffont comme le démontre son dernier album « Night in Corsica ». Ca swingue !
