Franck Nicolas trompettiste et joueur de coquillage met sa virtuosité au service de l’émotion. Alchimiste des sons, il invente un nouveau style de musique à New York en 2002 : le jazz-ka (mélange de jazz et de tambour traditionnel Guadeloupéen, le « Ka »). 20 ans plus tard, toujours dans une quête insatiable de nouveauté, il crée la POP-KA, qui réunit :ka, Konk (coquillages), jazz, spiritualité, chant, et musique populaire. La POP-KA est une musique d’origine Antillaise complexe et dansante, qui se veut avant-gardiste. Tel un papillon multicolore, elle porte sur ses ailes, un message d’espoir et d’amour pour l’humanité entière. Elle est résolument tournée vers l’avenir. Puisse-t-elle un jour apporter à tous, le subliminal message secret qui mène aux étoiles…

Alchemist of sounds, he invented a new style of music in New York in 2002: jazz-ka (mixture of jazz and traditional Guadeloupean drum, the "Ka"). 20 years later, still in an insatiable quest for novelty, he created POP-KA, which brings together: ka, Konk (shells), jazz, spirituality, singing, and popular music. POP-KA is a complex and dancing Antillean music, which aims to be avant-garde. Like a multicolored butterfly, she carries on her wings a message of hope and love for all humanity. She is resolutely turned towards the future. May she one day bring to all, the secret subliminal message that leads to the stars...
