Aaron PARKS New Quartet

Le Aaron Parks Quartet (avec Ben Solomon au saxophone ténor, Kanoa Mendenhall à la basse et RJ Miller à la batterie) est un retour à la musique acoustique en petit groupe pour le pianiste-compositeur, après des années de tournées avec son groupe de genre Little Grand. "Il y a un livre de compositions sur lequel je travaille depuis quelques années maintenant, mais que j'ai rarement joué en dehors de New York", écrit-il. "Une musique avec une palette de couleurs harmoniques plus riche, avec des rythmes allant du swing au méditatif, et beaucoup de liberté pour communiquer et vraiment improviser ensemble en tant que groupe. Ben, Kanoa et RJ sont des musiciens extrêmement inspirants pour moi, et J'ai tellement hâte de partager l'espace et le son avec eux et de découvrir ce que nous trouverons."
The Aaron Parks Quartet (featuring Ben Solomon on tenor saxophone, Kanoa Mendenhall on bass, and RJ Miller on drums) is a return to acoustic small-group music for the pianist-composer, after years of primarily touring with his genre-bending band Little Big. "There's a book of unrecorded compositions of mine that I've been working on for some years now but have rarely performed outside of New York," he writes. "Music with something of a richer harmonic color palette, with rhythms ranging from the swinging to the meditative, and a lot of freedom to communicate and really improvise together as a band. Ben, Kanoa, and RJ are tremendously inspiring musicians to me, and I'm so looking forward to sharing space and sound with them and discovering what we find."
