Kurt ROSENWINKEL & Gerald CLAYTON : A LOVESOME THING in tribute to Geri ALLEN

MOTEMA 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
En hommage à la grande Geri Allen, et pour clôturer la série du 20e anniversaire de Motéma au Sunside/Sunset, le pianiste Gerald Clayton se joint au guitariste Kurt Rosenwinkel pour célébrer la sortie de "A Lovesome Thing", l'extraordinaire album en duo de Rosenwinkel avec Mme Allen, enregistré à la Philharmonie de Paris en 2012 (sortie le 24 novembre sur Motéma). Clayton, l’un des pianistes de jazz les plus respectés, a travaillé sous l’aile d’Allen dans son célèbre projet Errol Garner. Rosenwinkel est adoré internationalement et très demandé, "A Lovesome Thing" fait suite à ses sorties de 2022 et 2023 : « The Chopin Project », « Berlin Baritone » et Uncovered : Live at the Village Vanguard.
As a Tribute to the great Geri Allen, and to close Motéma’s 20th Anniversary series at Sunside/Sunset, pianist Gerald Clayton joins guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel to celebrate the release of A Lovesome Thing, Rosenwinkel’s extraordinary duo album with Ms. Allen, recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris 2012 (out November 24th on Motéma). Clayton, one of today’s most respected jazz pianists, worked under Allen’s wing in her famed Errol Garner Project. Rosenwinkel is internationally adored and much in demand, A Lovesome Thing follows his 2022 & 2023 releases: ’The Chopin Project,’ ‘Berlin Baritone,’ and Uncovered: Live at the Village Vanguard.
