Monika BORZYM chante de vieilles chansons

Avec sa voix sensuelle, Monika Borzym nous transporte dans sa Pologne natale à l’époque de l’entre-deux-guerres, là où est né le jazz polonais, il y a tout juste 100 ans. Et ces chansons dansantes n’ont rien perdu de leur charme. Ces mélodies captivantes de Wars ou de Petersburski, avec les paroles immortelles de poètes, tels que Tuwim ou Hemar, ont traversé un siècle en devenant une incontournable source d’inspiration de jazzmen polonais. Elles sont désormais standards faisant partie du patrimoine musical polonais.  Mais attention, ça va swinguer ! Concert proposé par l’Institut Polonais de Paris

With her sensual voice, Monika Borzym transports us to her native Poland during the interwar period, where Polish jazz was born, just 100 years ago. And these dance songs have lost none of their charm. These captivating melodies from Wars or Petersburski, with the immortal words of poets such as Tuwim or Hemar, have spanned a century becoming an essential source of inspiration for Polish jazzmen. Máximo

Máximo est un artiste prodige qui a commencé à sept ans son parcours à l'école de musique artistique du Conservatoire national de Lisbonne, où il a terminé ses études secondaires en piano et en composition. Il poursuit actuellement une licence en composition jazz au Codarts Rotterdam. Malgré sa formation classique et formelle, Máximo fait depuis l'âge de 6 ans des incursions autodidactes dans la composition de pièces originales, révélant dès son plus jeune âge une aptitude particulière pour la fusion de plusieurs styles musicaux.

Máximo, is a prodigy artist, having started at seven his journey at the Artistic Music School of the National Conservatory of Lisbon, where he completed secondary education in Piano and Composition. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in jazz composition at Codarts Rotterdam. Despite his classical and formal training, since the age of 6 Máximo has been making self-taught incursions into composing original pieces, revealing a particular aptitude for the fusion of several musical styles since an early age.
