Théo Armen se tient, lucide et solidaire, sur la marge étroite qui fait face aux effondrements du vieux monde. Il y déploie l’audace de textes poétiques, de mélodies sobres, subtiles, l’incandescence frontale de sa présence et le dépouillement de sa voix enlaçant le grain des êtres. La profondeur est au principe de son travail. C’est une intelligence sensible scrutant l’âme du monde, une joie turbulente qui ne renie rien à la mélancolie, ni à l’envoûtement des mystères qu’il côtoie la nuit.
Théo Armen stands, lucid and selfless, on the narrow margin facing the collapse of the old world. He deploys the audacity of poetic texts, sober and subtle melodies, the frontal incandescence of his presence and the simplicity of his voice entwining the essence of beings. Depth is the principle of his work, a sensitive intelligence scrutinizing the soul of the world, a turbulent joy which denies nothing of melancholy, nor of the bewitchment of the mysteries that it encounters at night.
