Figure d’une musique inclassable et éclectique, Minino Garay, élevé dans l’environnement de la musique populaire argentine, est un musicien à l’esprit foisonnant. Le percussionniste le plus vital de sa génération ne cesse de puiser dans ses origines pour les confronter à d’autres genres et obtenir des résultats surprenants. Depuis son tout premier album et sa découverte du spoken word, mouvement poétique engagé du New York de la fin des années soixante à l’origine du slam, Minino Garay l’a naturellement combiné à ses influences imprégnées par l’esprit du tango. Un style devenu signature qu’il incarne depuis lors sur scène et dans ses albums. Pour l’occasion, il sera en tandem avec le saxophoniste Samy Thiebault fin connaisseur de la musique latin jazz. Figure of an unclassifiable and eclectic music, Minino Garay, brought up in the environment of Argentine popular music, is a musician with an abundant spirit. The most vital percussionist of his generation never ceases to draw on his origins to confront them with other genres and obtain surprising results. Since his very first album and his discovery of spoken word, a committed poetic movement in New York at the end of the sixties at the origin of slam, Minino Garay has naturally combined it with his influences imbued with the spirit of tango. A style that has become a signature that he has since embodied on stage and in his albums.
