Hommage à Jimmy Smith avec Magic trio
Oscar Marchioni - orgue ; Olivier Portail - batterie ; Cliff Lisette - guitare
Jimmy Smith, Jack Mac Duff, Jimmy Mc Griff, Grant Green, John Leslie « WES » Montgomery... autant d'artistes Américains qui ont marqué un style musical, qui s’illustre parfaitement avec les trios orgue/guitare/batterie au son jazz, soul, puis funky des années 50 à 80... Ce répertoire, toujours aussi puissant et groovy est au programme du Magic trio. Cliff Lisette, guitariste et chanteur de l’ile Maurice au talent hors du commun, s’inspirant de nombreux guitaristes de cette époque a développé un style très personnel. Oscar Marchioni à l'orgue et Olivier Portail à la batterie, sont deux fidèles compagnons qui se sont produits au Sunset avec le guitariste New Yorkais Ed Cherry. Familiers du trio orgue guitare batterie, ils vous feront revivre avec émotion les sonorités de cette formule née au début des années 50.
Jimmy Smith, Jack Mac Duff, Jimmy Mc Griff, Grant Green, John Leslie "WES" Montgomery... so many American artists who have made a mark on a musical genre, which is perfectly illustrated by the organ/guitar/drums trio with a jazz, soul and funky sound from the 50s to the 80s... This repertoire, still as powerful and groovy, is on the Magic trio program. Cliff Lisette, guitarist and singer from Mauritius with an outstanding talent, inspired by many guitarists of this period has developed his very own personal style. Oscar Marchioni on the organ and Olivier Portail on the drums are two loyal friends who have performed at the Sunset with New York guitarist Ed Cherry. Familiar with the organ-guitar-drums trio, they will make you relive with emotion, the sounds of this music arrangement born in the early 50's.
