Étoile montante de la nouvelle génération de la scène internationale du jazz, le trompettiste visionnaire Carlos Sarduy est reconnu dans le monde entier comme un maître extraordinaire de son instrument. Sorti en 2019, l'album "Luz" présente un sanctuaire de compositions afro-cubaines, avec de puissantes improvisations, qui respirent la liberté et le groove. Jazz afro-cubain contemporain, avec des rythmes polyrythmiques de Batá, Rumba et Guarapachangueo, l'album présente également des éléments de Funk, Afro Beat et le style cubain du Mozambique.
A rising star from the new generation of the international jazz scene, the visionary trumpet player, Carlos Sarduy, is world-known as an extraordinary master of his instrument. Released in 2019, the album “Luz“, presents a shrine of Afro Cuban compositions, with powerful improvisations, that breathes freedom & groove. Sarduy's good taste prevails. His utterly elaborated arrangements, flow naturally from tune to tune, with a warm sound and a beautifully played trumpet, as the notes drop from his trumpet-playing like dust of Gold. Contemporary Afro Cuban Jazz, with polyrhythmic beats of Batá, Rumba and Guarapachangueo, the album also presents elements of Funk, Afro Beat and the Cuban Mozambique Style.
