"RENDEZ-VOUS" est le nouvel opus dans lequel Romane et Daniel John Martin partagent leur passion commune pour la musique du célèbre binôme Reinhardt-Grappelli. Ce bel ouvrage met en évidence la «French Touch» typiquement Parisienne du combo jazz à cordes sans pour autant tomber dans l’ imitation. Pour ce nouveau rendez - vous sous l’égide du génial gitan , Daniel John Martin, le lyrique, a choisi Paris, ses rues, ses quartiers, ses musiciens, ses ambiances empreintes de nostalgies, de souvenirs, de bonheurs indicibles, pour terrain d’inspiration auprès de Romane, le subtil guitariste. On y retrouve évoquées les rues qu’il aime à Paris, du quartier des Abbesses à celui de Montmartre, les atmosphères qui le troublent, les amis qu’il n’a pas oublié. Dix titres originaux, une reprise de Didier Lockwood et une bonus track comprenant un quatuor à cordes.
"RENDEZ-VOUS" is the new opus in which Romane and Daniel John Martin share their common passion for the music of the famous duo Reinhardt-Grappelli. This beautiful work highlights the typically Parisian "French Touch" of the string jazz combo without falling into imitation. For this new meeting under the aegis of the brilliant gypsy, Daniel John Martin, the lyricist, has chosen Paris, its streets, its districts, its musicians, its atmospheres imbued with nostalgia, memories, unspeakable happiness, as a ground of inspiration from Romane, the subtle guitarist. We find there evoked the streets he loves in Paris, from the Abbesses district to that of Montmartre, the atmospheres that trouble him, the friends he has not forgotten. Ten original tracks, a Didier Lockwood cover and a bonus track including a string quartet.
