Le trio est pour Marc Berthoumieux une forme géométrique inépuisable pour la liberté d’expression, un remède contre le déséquilibre et une écoute toute particulière à la relation avec l’autre. Cette formation et cette complicité touche l'accordéoniste en tant que musicien mais aussi en tant qu’être humain. On connait le lyrisme, la virtuosité et l’authenticité de Giovanni Mirabassi qu’il n’est plus besoin de présenter. Marc Berthoumieux a le plaisir de partager la scène avec cet artiste exceptionnel depuis plus de dix ans. Par ailleurs est-on assez averti de la musicalité peu ordinaire de Laurent Vernerey ? surtout connu pour le millier d’album auquel il a participé, Laurent est sûrement le caméléon de la basse ayant été le plus demandé de la production musicale française ces vingt cinq dernières années. Il se révèle une fois de plus de façon remarquable dans cet exercice en trio.
The trio is for Marc Berthoumieux an inexhaustible geometric form for freedom of expression, a remedy against imbalance and a very particular listening to the relationship with others. This training and this complicity affects the accordionist as a musician but also as a human being. We know the lyricism, virtuosity and authenticity of Giovanni Mirabassi that there is no need to introduce. Marc Berthoumieux has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with this exceptional artist for more than ten years. Furthermore, are we aware enough of the unusual musicality of Laurent Vernerey? best known for the thousand albums in which he participated, Laurent is surely the bass chameleon having been the most sought after in French musical production over the last twenty-five years. It reveals itself once again in a remarkable way in this trio exercise.
