The Art of the Quartet est composé de quatre des musiciens de jazz les plus demandés, les plus polyvalents et les plus talentueux de la scène actuelle. The Art of the Quartet is the name of an all-star band, consisting of four of the most in-demand, versatile and topclass jazzmusicians on the scene today. Between them they have worked with who’s who in jazz, but this time they have decided to come together and refine the potential of the classic jazz quartet formation. The Music is tied together by four virtuosos who have taken interplay and collective musical dialogue to a new level.
Antonio Sanchez is a five-time Grammy winner, composer for the Oscar winning Birdman film and drummer with Pat Metheny for 20 years. Grammy Award winning pianist and composer Kevin Hays will be behind the piano with his phenomenal sense of style. James Genus is the go to Bass Player and has played with names like David Sanborn, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and Wynton Marsalis. In front you find the saxophone player Benjamin Koppel, an award-winning musician and composer known for his versatility and virtuosity.
