À travers ses compositions, celles de Jean-Philippe Viret et Carine Bonnefoy, et quelques grands standards de jazz re-visités, Anne Carleton explore ce qui nous relie tous : l’amour, l’espoir, la liberté, l’enfance, la résilience et cette force mystérieuse qui nous permet toujours de nous élever.
La voix d’Edgar Morin, présente au cœur de l’album, accompagne le voyage comme une conscience bienveillante. « J’ai choisi de rencontrer Edgar Morin et d’intégrer sa voix à So High parce que j’ai trouvé en lui un écho à ma propre voie. Son regard sur le monde et sur l’humain m’inspire profondément et m’éclaire.»

Edgar Morin, a great thinker and humanist, has bequeathed to us a free, curious and deeply vibrant way of thinking. It is this spirit that we shall celebrate, centred on the album *So High*, recorded with his participation and acclaimed by TSF JAZZ, *Jazz Magazine* and *Les Inrocks*.
Through her own compositions, those of Jean-Philippe Viret and Carine Bonnefoy, and a few reimagined jazz standards, Anne Carleton explores what connects us all: love, hope, freedom, childhood, resilience and that mysterious force that always enables us to rise above.
