Antoine Boyer a bu aux sources les plus authentiques du jazz manouche, disciple en particulier des maîtres Mandino Reinhardt et Francis Alfred Moerman. Il a été programmé par la plupart des festivals consacrés au swing manouche aux Etats-Unis et en Europe, et a partagé la scène avec des artistes tels que, Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre, Raphael Faÿs et bien d’autres. En plus de sa maîtrise du jazz manouche, Antoine est également un guitariste classique, remportant le prestigieux Concours de Guitare Classique de Montigny en 2015 et recevant le prix « Révélation Guitare Classique 2016 » du célèbre magazine français Guitare Classique. Son parcours musical éclectique a façonné un style de jeu unique qui mêle harmonieusement différentes techniques de guitare acquises au fil des ans.
Yeore Kim harmoniciste, évolue depuis son plus jeune âge sur la scène coréenne du jazz. Multi-instrumentiste, elle excelle à la trompette, à la batterie, au violoncelle et au piano. Diplômée de la Seoul Music University, c’est en temps qu’harmoniciste qu’elle remporte les concours du Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival, du Festival international d’harmonica de Séoul et du World Harmonica Festival. Yeore est diplômée de l’Université de Musique de Séoul et a remporté des victoires lors de prestigieux concours tels que le Festival Harmonica de
l’Asie-Pacifique, le Festival Harmonica de Séoul et le Festival Mondial de l’Harmonica. Elle a prêté ses talents à divers groupes de musique, tournant abondamment en Corée, en Inde, au Japon et plus récemment en Europe, dans des genres allant du jazz et du reggae aux collaborations théâtrales, au tango, à la pop et au rock.
Les chemins d’Antoine et de Yeore se sont croisés en 2018 au Festival de Jazz Manouche de Taipei, à Taïwan, où ils ont partagé la scène pour la première fois. La magie de leur connexion s’imposant comme une évidence, ils la prolongent en formant un duo, dans la musique…et dans la vie. Leur synergie ne connaît aucune limite, captivant le public avec un répertoire allant de standards de pop et de jazz à des compositions originales poétiques et singulières. La danse de la guitare et de l’harmonica transporte le public dans un univers où chaque note raconte une histoire.
Antoine Boyer has drawn inspiration from the most authentic sources of gypsy jazz, following in the footsteps, in particular, of the masters Mandino Reinhardt and Francis Alfred Moerman. He has performed at most of the festivals dedicated to gypsy swing in the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with artists such as Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre, Raphael Faÿs and many others. As well as his mastery of gypsy jazz, Antoine is also a classical guitarist, having won the prestigious Montigny Classical Guitar Competition in 2015 and received the ‘Révélation Guitare Classique 2016’ award from the renowned French magazine Guitare Classique. His eclectic musical journey has shaped a unique playing style that harmoniously blends the various guitar techniques he has acquired over the years.
Yeore Kim, a harmonica player, has been active on the Korean jazz scene since she was very young. A multi-instrumentalist, she excels on the trumpet, drums, cello and piano. A graduate of Seoul Music University, it was as a harmonica player that she won competitions at the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival, the Seoul International Harmonica Festival and the World Harmonica Festival. Yeore is a graduate of Seoul Music University and has triumphed at prestigious competitions such as the Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival,
the Seoul International Harmonica Festival and the World Harmonica Festival. She has lent her talents to various musical groups, touring extensively in Korea, India, Japan and, more recently, Europe, in genres ranging from jazz and reggae to theatrical collaborations, tango, pop and rock.
Antoine and Yeore’s paths crossed in 2018 at the Taipei Gypsy Jazz Festival in Taiwan, where they shared the stage for the first time. With the magic of their connection immediately apparent, they built on it by forming a duo – in music… and in life. Their synergy knows no bounds, captivating audiences with a repertoire ranging from pop and jazz standards to poetic and unique original compositions. The interplay between the guitar and the harmonica transports the audience to a world where every note tells a story.
