Voici 20 ans que Maki Nakano interprète la musique d’Erik Satie avec le projet franco-japonais Ky.

À l’occasion des 100 ans de sa disparition, elle sort ce beau vinyle présentant une sélection de 14 titres, 
interprétations minimalistes et originales de l’esprit de Satie. 
Pour ce concert au Sunside, elle est rejoint par Stéphane Tsapis au piano et Karsten Hochapfel au violoncelle
deux musiciens avec qui elle a régulièrement joué en France et au Japon. 
Ils joueront des œuvres connues et méconnues du maître, oscillant entre profondeur et légèreté, 
entre improvisations et compositions personnelles. Désespoir agréable !

 

For 20 years, Maki Nakano has been performing the music of Erik Satie with the Franco-Japanese project Ky.
To mark the 100th anniversary of his death, she released this vinyl album featuring a selection of 14 tracks, minimalist and original interpretations of Satie’s spirit.
For this concert at Sunside, she is joined by Stéphane Tsapis on piano and Karsten Hochapfel on cello, two musicians with whom she has regularly performed in France and Japan.
They will play well-known and lesser-known works by the master, oscillating between depth and lightness, between improvisations and personal compositions. A pleasant despair!
