ur la scène Jazz parisienne, Fred Nardin impose son piano avec une intensité rare. Lauréat du Django Reinhardt 2016 de l’Académie du Jazz, cofondateur de l’Amazing Keystone Big Band, orchestre récompensé d’une Victoire de la Musique et sideman recherché (Cécile McLorin Salvant, Veronica Swift, Leon Parker, Stefano Di Battista), il signe également la réalisation et les arrangements des derniers albums de Pascal Obispo, dont il est le directeur musical sur scène.
Pianiste extrêmement sollicité, son jeu combine finesse du toucher, sens du swing, vaste culture jazz et une curiosité musicale toujours en éveil. Elevé aux sonorités de McCoy Tyner, Kenny Barron ou Mulgrew Miller, il s’inscrit dans la lignée des grands noms du piano jazz.
Avec Trio +, son nouveau disque en leader, Fred signe un retour remarqué. Le projet rayonne d’élégance et d’inventivité, oscillant entre jazz et pop, entre l’héritage de Thelonious Monk ou Wayne Shorter et des clins d’œil à la French Touch — comme cette reprise envoûtante de Nightcall de Kavinsky – ainsi que des compositions personnelles ciselées, en compagnie de Viktor Nyberg à la contrebasse et Romain Sarron à la batterie.

Their musical complicity, imbued with tradition and supported by a great freedom of improvisation, creates a unique dynamic on stage. For this extraordinary evening, the trio will be joined by Italian saxophonist Max Ionata, one of the brightest talents on the European jazz scene. Known for his supple phrasing and velocity of flight, Max Ionata blends influences from the greatest virtuosos of his instrument with ease. An exceptional musical encounter not to be missed, where creativity and interaction between the musicians will be the real stars of the evening.
