Le Galaad Moutoz Orchestra est un orchestre de 8 musiciens, jouant du jazz héroïque inédit.
Créé en 2016, l’orchestre a d’abord exploré avec panache des répertoires swing issus des années 30 (Chick Webb & Ella, Fletcher Henderson, Jimmie Lunceford) avant de s’orienter vers un son plus moderne (Gerald Wilson, Buddy Rich), des arrangements originaux et enfin des compositions.
Après 10 ans d’existance, 1 album, plus de 400 dates en France et à l’étranger (Vittoria Jazz Festival, Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, Opéra Garnier, Jazzablanca, Jazz Club Étoile, Gouvy Jazz Festival, Pannonica, Havel Hop Berlin, etc), l’orchestre sort aujourd’hui son nouvel EP « Heal My Soul » avec la chanteuse Mélina Tobiana.
Convaincue que le spectacle est avant tout un partage, cette équipe de choc livre un jazz original, à la fois pop et sophistiqué, dans une grande communion swing sincère et chaleureuse.
The Galaad Moutoz Orchestra is a french 8-piece band, playing original heroic jazz.
Formed in 2016, the band hit the ground running by exploring swing repertoires from the 30s (Chick Webb & Ella, Fletcher Henderson, Jimmie Lunceford) before pursuing a more modern sound (Gerald Wilson, Buddy Rich), original arrangements, and finally compositions.
After 10 years, one album and more than 400 concerts in France and worldwide (Vittoria Jazz Festival, Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, Opéra Garnier, Jazzablanca, Jazz Club Étoile, Gouvy Jazz Festival, Pannonica, Havel Hop Berlin, etc), the orchestra releases today its new EP « Heal My Soul » with the singer Mélina Tobiana.
Convinced that a show is a moment of sharing, this dream team unleashes an original jazz, that is both pop and sophisticated, in a big swing celebration.
