Gavro Quartet est un ensemble de jazz contemporain fondé en 2023 par le guitariste et compositeur Tilen Gavranovič, actuellement basé à Paris. Le groupe tire son nom du pseudonyme artistique de Gavranovič, Gavro.
En 2024, le quartet sort son premier album intitulé Let’s Wait and See, avec la participation exceptionnelle de deux musiciens de renommée internationale : Jim Rotondi (trompette) et Marko Črnčec (piano). Ce projet met en avant les compositions originales de Gavranovič, interprétées par les membres du groupe et sublimées par les contributions des invités.À la suite de cette sortie, l’ensemble s’est produit dans plusieurs pays, partageant la scène avec des musiciens reconnus tels que Tomaž Gajšt, Gerhard Ornig, Žan Cesar, ainsi que les invités de l’album Jim Rotondi et Marko Črnčec.
The Gavro Quartet is a contemporary jazz ensemble formed in 2023 by guitarist and composer Tilen Gavranovič, who currently resides in Paris. The group’s name derives from Gavranovič’s artistic alias, Gavro.
In 2024, the quartet released their debut album, Let’s Wait and See, featuring two internationally acclaimed guest musicians: Jim Rotondi on trumpet and Marko Črnčec on piano. The project showcases Gavranovič’s original compositions, brought to life by the core members of the quartet and enriched by the unique voices of the featured artists.
Following the release, the ensemble embarked on a series of international performances, sharing the stage with various prominent musicians, including Tomaž Gajšt, Gerhard Ornig, Žan Cesar, as well as album collaborators Rotondi and Črnčec.
