Hernán Jacinto, reconnu par la critique et le public comme le pianiste de jazz du moment en Argentine et dans la région, présente avec son trio son nouvel album GARDEL, qui lui a valu le prix du Meilleur Album de Jazz de l’Année 2025 (la plus haute distinction de l’industrie musicale argentine). Publié en vinyle et sur les plateformes numériques par le label européen EL CLUB DEL DISCO (Barcelone).
L’album comprend sept titres du répertoire de Carlos Gardel, revisités avec le regard jazzistique raffiné de Jacinto, à travers ses arrangements, son virtuosité interprétative sans limite au piano et, surtout, l’énergie et la liberté d’expression qui se dégagent de son interaction avec les musiciens au fil de chaque morceau.
L’album s’éloigne de la vision classique habituelle du genre pour ce type de propositions. Au contraire, il aborde chacun des morceaux de l’œuvre avec un langage plus contemporain, sans jamais perdre de vue l’esprit de chaque œuvre du « Zorzal Criollo ».

The album features seven tracks from Carlos Gardel’s repertoire, reimagined through Jacinto’s refined jazz sensibility, via his arrangements, his boundless interpretative virtuosity on the piano and, above all, the energy and freedom of expression that emerge from his interaction with the musicians throughout each track.
The album moves away from the usual classical approach to the genre for this type of project. Instead, it tackles each piece with a more contemporary style, without ever losing sight of the spirit of each work by the ‘Zorzal Criollo’.
