Entre guitare psychédélique, rythmiques chaloupées et vibrantes envolées du saxophone, la formation de Leo Geller convoque un melting pot d’influences : John Coltrane, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Fela Kuti ou encore Radiohead. Chaque note est jouée avec le cœur et les tripes.
Le projet est lauréat du tremplin JazzContreBand 2023 (présidé par Emile Parisien & Nik Bärtsch) et Prix du Public du Festival Jazz à Oloron 2023
Four musicians take you on a journey to the four cardinal points of mixed jazz. Between psychedelic guitar, swaying rhythms and vibrant saxophone flights, Leo Geller’s band conjures up a melting pot of influences: John Coltrane, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Fela Kuti and Radiohead. Every note is played from the heart and guts.
The project won the JazzContreBand 2023 springboard (presided over by Emile Parisien & Nik Bärtsch) and the Prix du Public at the Festival Jazz à Oloron 2023.
