Petit orchestre de cordes, cuivres et percussions réuni autour d’une chanteuse explosive au timbre tantôt éclatant tantôt intimiste, Luna Ocho incarne la rencontre entre le jazz et les grandes chansons d’Amérique latine, du boléro cubain à la samba brésilienne, en passant par le huapango mexicain et la zamba argentine.
Après la sortie dans les bacs et sur les plateformes de son premier album « Puro teatro », le groupe, programmé au festival français Jazz’titudes, a ajouté des compositions à son répertoire pour agrandir un univers très métissé.
A small orchestra of strings, brass and percussion around an explosive singer whose voice creates both shiny and intimate atmospheres : Luna Ocho tells a story where jazz improvisation meets great Latin American songs, from Cuban bolero to Mexican huapango, from Brazilian bossa to Argentinian zamba.
Following the release of its first album ‘Puro teatro » that has been released in stores and on the platforms, the group which was programmed at the Jazz’titudes festival in France, has added new compositions to its repertoire, expanding a highly mixed universe.
