Raphaël-Tristan Jouaville est un violoniste et compositeur français établi à Paris. En 2001, il est admis au conservatoire de Toulouse dans la classe de la concertiste internationale, Clara Cernat.
Il joue deux ans de suite en tant que violoniste de l’orchestre du festival Jazz in Marciac, ce qui va lui permettre de partager la scène avec des artistes de jazz de premier plan tel que, Milton Nacimiento, André Ceccarelli, Baptiste Trotignon, Ambrose Akinmusire, les frères Belmondo.
Raphaël-Tristan Jouaville commence un cursus de composition au conservatoire de Toulouse à partir de 2012, avec Bertrand Dubedout et Guy-Olivier Ferla.
En 2018, il remporte, avec son groupe La Verdine, le concours du Festival Django Reinhardt qui lui permet de partager l’année suivante la grande scène du festival avec Tom Misch, Cyrille Aymée.
Raphaël-Tristan obtient en 2019, une maîtrise de composition de l’Université McGill dans la classe de Philippe Leroux. Il fait actuellement partie de plusieurs formations, le Benjamin Bobenrieth Quintet qui sort sont deuxième album sur le label Laborie Jazz (Anne Pacéo, Leila Martial…), il joue avec le quartet de Simba Baumgartner, descendant de Django Reinhardt et le Melkoni Project avec Gwen Cahue et Louise Perret.
Engagé dans un travail de composition Raphaël-Tristan prépare un album de jazz-contemporain aux sonorités avant-gardistes et électroniques.
Raphaël-Tristan Jouaville is a French violinist and composer based in Paris. In 2001, he was admitted to the Toulouse Conservatory in the class of international concert performer Clara Cernat.
He played for two consecutive years as a violinist in the Jazz in Marciac festival orchestra, which allowed him to share the stage with leading jazz artists such as Milton Nascimento, André Ceccarelli, Baptiste Trotignon, Ambrose Akinmusire, and the Belmondo brothers.
Raphaël-Tristan Jouaville began studying composition at the Toulouse Conservatory in 2012 with Bertrand Dubedout and Guy-Olivier Ferla.
In 2018, he and his band La Verdine won the Django Reinhardt Festival competition, which allowed him to share the festival’s main stage the following year with Tom Misch and Cyrille Aymée.
In 2019, Raphaël-Tristan obtained a master’s degree in composition from McGill University in Philippe Leroux’s class. He is currently a member of several groups, including the Benjamin Bobenrieth Quintet, which is releasing its second album on the Laborie Jazz label (Anne Pacéo, Leila Martial, etc.), and he plays with the Simba Baumgartner Quartet, descendant of Django Reinhardt, and the Melkoni Project with Gwen Cahue and Louise Perret.
Committed to his work as a composer, Raphaël-Tristan is preparing a contemporary jazz album with avant-garde and electronic sounds.
