Portée par une voix profonde et sincère, alliant maîtrise technique et sensibilité, elle chante en espagnol, français et italien un tango à la fois intime et contemporain, aux couleurs du jazz et des musiques du monde. French, Argentine and Venezuelan, Sofía Levín presents De Piazzolla à nos jours (From Piazzolla to Today), a programme connecting the founding work of Astor Piazzolla to the voices of today’s tango — including her own compositions. Carried by a deep, sincere voice that pairs technical mastery with sensitivity, she sings in Spanish, French and Italian a tango that is at once intimate and contemporary, coloured by jazz and world music. Alongside her, Philippe Zygel (piano), Lisandro Bazzana (bandoneon), Joshua Desserre (double bass) and Cécile Mons (violin) form a close-knit ensemble that draws us into an unforgettable journey along the paths of contemporary tango.
